Want to be a mechanic? Pop down to Jack Tucker’s Garage in the National Motor Museum, where legendary Jack loves a chat! Pull on some overalls, don your flat cap and learn about life as a country mechanic in Jack’s 1930s garage, where there’s plenty of bolts, nuts and artefacts to tinker with!

There’s more to the National Motor Museum than the museum itself! Come and explore behind-the-scenes at the National Motor Museum Trust Collection Centre, where you can book exciting tours on the 11th February through their collection of almost 1.9 million automotive objects!

Next, step back in time at Palace House, the historic home of the Montagu family. See fascinating 19th Century gadgets in action, still used by the Victorian house staff – who bid you a friendly welcome! Spot the marmalade shredder, the carpet sweeper and the tongue press… and learn all about these unusual artefacts! Get whisking alongside the busy Kitchen Maid, and check out the Montagu family’s extraordinary hat collection – and enjoy plenty of photo opportunities as you try them on!

Our exciting play area, Little Beaulieu, is full of crazy contraptions! Clamber across the epic climbing wall, share secrets down the fun funnel speaker, and release your inner Mozart on our xylophone chimes! Peek through our telescope, and try not to get in a tangle as you tackle the tricky rope maze! There’s plenty of interactive fun to be had – and parents can enjoy Little Beaulieu too, with a hot drink or delicious snack in the outdoor seating area beside the handy onsite café!

In the Secret Army Exhibition, learn about the extraordinary Special Operations Executive agents who trained on the Beaulieu Estate during World War II, and who risked their lives on top secret missions in Nazi-occupied Europe. See their clever cryptic gadgets, from a hidden radio inside a biscuit tin, to a map carefully folded inside a shaving brush!

Walk in the footsteps of monks at Beaulieu Abbey, who lived there more than 800 years ago.
