Beaulieu is gearing up for an action-packed May half-term from 25th May – 2nd June, with family fun for everyone including a brand-new sculpture trail displayed around the grounds and gardens of Palace House, as well as a new display to see in the National Motor Museum.


Spring is the perfect time to explore Beaulieu’s grounds and gardens. Those vising during half-term will be one of the first to see the Mill Pond walks’ new enchanting Fairy and Dragon sculpture trail which will bring Beaulieu’s wonderful outdoor spaces to life! Keep a look out for intricately woven willow sculptures of magical unicorns, fairies, and dragons, as well as woodland foxes, owls, squirrels, and deer and even mischievous boggarts peeking out from behind the foliage.

Take time inside to explore the world-famous National Motor Museum with over 280 vehicles from F1 greats to motoring classics. Discover, Streets Ahead, a brand-new display, full of nostalgia and memories which will transport you back to a bygone era from the 1950s to the 1970s. Step back in time with new shop displays packed with items from the National Motor Museum collection, many on display for the first time.

With over 800 years of rich history to discover across the attraction, take time during your trip to meet living history characters from yesteryear. Be sure to say hi to them during your visit and collect all their character cards along the way.

You’ll find even more living history as you head inside Palace House, the ancestral home of the Montagu family. Meet costumed house staff who will give you a warm welcome, learn about traditional skills in the Victorian kitchen, and even dress up yourself in traditional Victorian costumes in the upper drawing room.

Hang around for the captivating demonstration of ancient falconry techniques as Lord Montagu’s falconer returns for May half-term. Join him in the Beaulieu Abbey Cloister as he shares insights into his timeless craft. Then, head to the lawns of Palace House later in the afternoon, as his majestic birds spread their wings and take to the sky!

Don’t miss the thrill of motoring parades as you witness the sights, sounds and smells of vehicles that span motoring history rumbling into life and driving around the main parade arena each day! * Or, if you want to make your experience even more unique, why not book you and your family in for a phantasmagorical ride around the attraction in one of the star cars! During the May half-term break, take a ride in the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang reconstruction or Mr Toad’s car from the classic children’s novel Wind in the Willows.**
