FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS – visitors

 

Can I turn up and pay on the day as a visitor?

We advise all visitors to pre-book their tickets online before they visit. Visitors who book before 5th June will also benefit from our advance price tickets. Any tickets purchased after this date will be at the standard on the day rate. You can also buy tickets on the day when you arrive in Visitor Reception at the on the day prices.

I haven’t received an attachment with my email after purchasing my tickets?

You will not receive a pdf attachment with your confirmation email; your tickets can be downloaded by clicking the “Download e-tickets” button within your confirmation. This opens up individual tickets per person.

When do your Early Bird visitor tickets go up to the advance price?

You can benefit by purchasing our Early Bird participant tickets which are on sale until 23:59 1st March 2026. To get your Earlybird discount please use the code CUSTOMVEB at checkout. Please visit the Custom and American event page for further ticket information and to buy tickets.

When do your visitor tickets change from advanced prices to the standard price?

Our advanced admission tickets are available until 23:59 5th June, for this event. From 6th June ticket prices will be the same as on the day.

What happens if I can no longer attend the Custom and American event?

All tickets purchased for the Custom and American event are non-transferable and non-refundable as per our Terms and Conditions of sale: www.beaulieu.co.uk/terms-conditions/

Will tickets sell out?

Our Custom and American event is due to take place without capacity limits in place, as such tickets should not sell out. Please ensure that you do pre-book your tickets online in advance.

Can I buy an extra ticket on the day for an additional person?

Yes, tickets will remain on sale online on the day of the event and additional tickets can be purchased online. Please ensure that everyone arriving in your group has a ticket. We will take payments on the day but advise purchasing in advance.

Can I use my Gift Aid pass?

The annual Gift Aid pass is not valid at the Custom and American event for visitors or participants. If you would like to attend the event, you will need to purchase separate visitor tickets for each person within your group. The Gift Aid annual pass is not valid for entry.

Do I need to print my ticket?

All participants will have their ticket scanned on arrival. This can be printed to speed up arrival or can be shown on a mobile phone or tablet. Please ensure you have downloaded your ticket in advance of arriving at Beaulieu in case of network connection issues on arrival.

Will I have access to the Beaulieu attraction?

Yes, your Custom & American ticket includes entry to the Beaulieu attraction.

Will you have entertainment on the day?

Yes, we will have entertainment on our stage throughout the day.

What time can I arrive?

Visitors can arrive from 10am, please do not arrive prior to this as there will be no facilities available in the car parks. Visitors must use our main museum entrance off B3056.

Can I use my Friends of the National Motor Museum Pass?

Yes, you can enter on the day as a visitor with your membership card, tickets do not need to be pre-booked. Please make sure you also bring your membership card with you on the day. The usual allowance of tickets applies to NMMT passes.

Can I use my B100 pass?

Yes, you can enter on the day as a visitor with your membership card, tickets do not need to be pre-booked. Please make sure you also bring your membership card with you on the day with your tickets. The usual allowance of tickets applies to B100 passes.

Will we be able to buy food and drink onsite?

You will be able to purchase food and drink from an outdoor catering unit as well as the onsite Brabazon restaurant.

Can we bring our own picnic?

You are very welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy during your visit. A number of picnic benches will be dotted around for your use, or you can bring a picnic blanket and find a shady spot to relax. We ask that you do not use any form of BBQ and dispose of your rubbish in a bin.

What will happen if the event is cancelled?

If the event cannot go ahead, we will contact all ticket holders to let them know and advise on the next steps we will take with their booking.

My vehicle has broken down/I no longer own the relevant vehicle but I would still like to visit?

If your participant vehicle has broken down or you have since sold your vehicle, but you would still like to visit, then you are able to pay an upgrade fee on the day of the event in our Visitor Reception. As participant tickets are only valid if arriving in a Custom or American vehicle, there is an upgrade fee required, which will be the difference from your participant ticket to the advanced general admission. Please bring your participant tickets with you on the day. Parking will be in the visitor car parks. Tickets are otherwise non-refundable and non-transferable as per our Terms & Conditions of sale: www.beaulieu.co.uk/terms-conditions/

I’ve changed my vehicle since booking, how do I amend the vehicle details?

If you need to change your vehicle to another relevant vehicle, please update us with your new vehicle details by emailing us: events@beaulieu.co.uk. Please make sure you state your booking reference and the event that you are attending. If you no longer have a relevant vehicle, please see above FAQ.

Is the ticket per person or per vehicle?

All participant tickets are per person and all persons arriving in a vehicle must be covered by a ticket or purchase a ticket on arrival.

Does everyone on my ticket need to arrive in my vehicle?

As we capture advance vehicle information, we do ask that you make separate orders for persons attending in different vehicles where possible.

Will tickets sell out?

Can I buy an extra ticket for an additional passenger that now wishes to join me in my vehicle?

No, once an order has been placed, we cannot add additional persons to a booking. You can place a new order for participant tickets for any guests arriving in your vehicle, please enter the same vehicle details as the original order. You will need to show multiple sets of tickets on arrival covering all persons arriving in the vehicle. Tickets will also remain on sale online on the day of the event and additional tickets can be purchased online or on arrival until admission closes at 2pm.

Can I buy an extra ticket on the day for an additional participant or passenger?

Yes, your Custom & American ticket includes entry to the Beaulieu attraction.

Will you have entertainment on the day?

Yes, we will have entertainment on our stage throughout the day.

What time can I arrive?

Participants can arrive from 8:30am until 2pm. The entrance for participants is through our main entrance, off the B3056.

What time can I leave?

Vehicles can leave at any point during the day but please note that once you leave you will not be able to re-enter the event and attraction. Your tickets do include entry into all of the Beaulieu attraction from opening at 10am until closing. Our prize giving will take place at approx. 3.30pm and we recommend remaining until after this time in case you have been selected as one of the top 3 vehicles. Please note: We do ask for vehicles not to leave during peak arrival time of participating vehicles as two entry lanes may be in operation.

Does my vehicle qualify?

This event is open to all custom cars, American classic vehicles and custom motorcycles. The vehicle must have visible customisations rather than mechanical or performance-based upgrades to be eligible to display as a customised vehicle. If you are unsure, please email us at events@beaulieu.co.uk with your vehicle details. Please note: if you arrive on the day in a vehicle that does not qualify for the event, you will be directed to park within the visitor car parks and enter as a visitor through our visitor reception, an upgrade fee will apply.

Where will I be parked as a participant?

The majority of our parking for event vehicles is on grass within the Beaulieu attraction. There is limited hard standing spaces available, and we cannot guarantee where you will be parked on the day.
