Get stuck into a whole host of egg-citing, fun Easter activities and see history come to life at Beaulieu from 29th March – 14th April 2024!


Meet colourful characters, hear vehicles rumbling into life, explore the grounds and gardens of Palace House in their spring splendour, and look out for the Easter Bunny over the Easter weekend!

Living history characters return to the attraction over the Easter holidays and are ready to transport visitors back in time. Meet the drivers of the Monorail and Veteran Bus, discover the treats that the Victorian cook is baking in Palace House, and chat to mechanic about life under the bonnet in the National Motor Museum.  Don’t forget to collect their character cards along the way too!

Watch the characters take part in the daily motoring parades*and experience remarkable vehicles as you take in the sounds, sights and smells of them rumbling into life and driving out of the National Motor Museum. See the famous Mini Outspan Orange, Mr Toad’s Car and family favourite Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, as well as many others that span motoring history.

Head inside to explore the vast collection of over 280 vehicles in the National Motor Museum, and don’t miss your last chance to see headline exhibition Motopia? Past Future Visions, only on display until the 14th April. Be taken on an immersive journey through 130 years of future thinking about automobility and explore how this has influenced what we ride and drive today. While mum and dad take their time looking at the collection, younger visitors should keep their eyes peeled for ‘Rabbits in the Headlights’, a fun Easter activity trail!

Make your way down to Palace House, the ancestral home of the Montagu family, which will be filled with Easter joy as you interact with costumed Victorian guides. Learn all about life in the 19th Century, and discover the Easter bonnets in the Montagu family’s extraordinary hat collection. Plus, over the Easter weekend (Good Friday 29th March – Easter Monday 1st April) get stuck into a wide range of entertaining crafts and activities, and keep a look out for the Easter bunny hopping around the serene grounds and gardens, handing out sunflower seeds to grow from home.

That’s not all! For a truly memorable day out at Beaulieu, why not book an experience for all the family – a phantasmagorical ride in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang**! Visitors now have the chance to take their seat in this ‘fine-four-fendered-friend’ for a spin around the grounds of the National Motor Museum. Bookings for Chitty can be made on the day of your visit for an additional charge.

Let the kid’s imaginations run wild in adventure play area Little Beaulieu, with the tricky rope-maze room to tackle and secret passageways, slides and a zipwire to keep the little ones entertained and don’t miss out on a ride on the ever popular Monorail, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024.
