Hands-On Half Term - 13 - 21 February 2016

Get ‘hands-on’ at Beaulieu this February Half Term, 13 – 21 February, with lots of interactive activities for all the family to take part in!

Hands On Half TermYoung visitors are invited to pick up a pass book and collect stamps at each of our 'hands-on' activity stations - will you be able to collect them all?

In the National Motor Museum, there is a rare opportunity to handle and learn about historical motoring objects at special ‘drop-in’ sessions running between 10.30am and 4.30pm daily. Take an up-close look at artefacts, early motoring clothing, photos and documents.

Elsewhere in the museum see over 250 vehicles on display, from the earliest examples of motoring and family cars of the 30s and 40s through to classic cars of the 70s and 80s and rare motoring oddities such as a giant orange on wheels! 

Hands On Half TermIn Palace House, home of the Montagu family since 1538, learn what cooking in a Victorian kitchen was really like as costumed guides share their experiences, and get ‘hands-on’ with Victorian cooking utensils.

In the Abbey, join the Monk to discover what life was like for the monks that lived there in the 13th century and discover the secrets of medieval builders. Learn how to make an arch and get your hands on old fashioned tools. Plus explore the exhibition on monastic life in the Abbey’s Domus and view historical objects from the time.

All of our February Half-Term activities are included in the standard admission price which includes entry to the National Motor Museum, Palace House and gardens, Beaulieu Abbey plus unlimited rides on the high-level monorail and open-topped replica London Bus.
