This summer from the 23 July – 31 August, experience the Vile Victorians like you’ve never seen them before in our Horrible Histories® trail, meet living history around the attraction, enjoy magical extras, plus magnificent motoring parades are BACK!

Horrible Histories bring the Vile Victorians to Beaulieu!
All summer, follow Rattus the cheeky rat from Horrible Histories on a trail around the attraction, diving into one of the grubbiest, grimiest and ghastliest eras of them all… welcome to the Vile Victorians!
Discover the horrid truths hidden in Beaulieu’s Victorian past. From fantastic and frightful motoring firsts, Victorian jobs around the Beaulieu estate and superstitions, to vile foods and deadly fashion, a world of extraordinary stories are waiting to be uncovered.
What’s on
MOTORING PARADES

Feel the excitement as you witness magnificent motoring parades! Vehicles from various eras of motoring history rumble into life and embark on demonstration laps around the arena at 2pm. Which vehicle will be your favourite in the lineup?
Please note the parades will NOT be running on busy event days or around major events (incl Supercar Weekend) Please also note that parades cannot happen in wet weather conditions.
FALCONRY DISPLAYS

Starting 25 July, observe the timeless artistry of falconry in action by none other than Lord Montagu’s falconer, and watch as his majestic birds gracefully soar across the Abbey Cloisters and lawns of Palace House.
Display timings:
- 1pm – Presentation in The Abbey Cloister
- 3pm – Exercising the Birds on Palace House Lawns
Please note that Falconry Displays will NOT go ahead around Supercar Weekend.
Living History at beaulieu

Meet the characters who bring history to life during your visit! Stop by mechanic Jack Tucker’s handling table in the National Motor Museum and keep an eye out for costumed characters ready to welcome you in Palace House.
National Motor Museum

Now open in the National Motor Museum is the brand-new gallery Driven: Britain’s Motoring Story! Discover a vibrant new exhibition and interactive elements exploring the story of motoring in the UK, from daring early pioneers to the iconic cars, people and moments that changed everyday life forever.
We had one of those!

Do you remember the cars you and your family had in the 60’s through to the 2000’s? Well, now is the chance to relive those memories as you take a seat back in classic cars from the past in our newest interactive attraction We Had One of Those!
Little Beaulieu

The kids will love letting off steam in Little Beaulieu, our popular adventure play area! They can explore secret passageways, a treetop boardwalk, slides and a zipwire while you relax in the family-friendly seating area with a drink and snack.
Magical Extras

For an extra special addition to your day, look out for some of TV and film’s most iconic cars, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mr Toad’s car from The Wind in the Willows. Visitors will be able to book their own ride (additional charges apply, with tickets bookable upon arrival) and take their seat in this ‘fine-four-fendered-friend’ for a spin about the grounds.
Please note rides in Chitty cannot happen in wet weather conditions.

Our ever-popular events season carries on throughout the summer, with Supercar Weekend on the 1-2 August and our Simply rallies continuing the motoring fun!
Supercar Weekend

Beaulieu Supercar Weekend returns from Saturday 1 – Sunday 2 August. This must-see family spectacular provides an opportunity to see some of the world’s most exclusive and desirable motors.
SIMPLY Rallies
Throughout the summer we have a whole host of Rallies to keep you entertained. From Simply Aston Martin, to Simply Mercedes, Simply Jaguar and more, there’s something to suit all tastes.

Normal admission applies and entry includes admission to all of the Beaulieu attractions including the National Motor Museum, We Had One of Those, Little Beaulieu, Palace House, Beaulieu Abbey, On Screen Cars, and our stunning grounds and gardens.
Caring for our local wildlife
The New Forest National Park is home to some amazing animals and we share the roads with horses, donkeys and more. Please drive carefully on your way to Beaulieu.
Falconry demonstrations are run responsibly by Lord Montagu’s falconer, Mr Paul Manning of Amews Falconry (licence TAE/2019/01)
