Visitors to October half-term at Beaulieu 2025 had the chance to step into a world of autumn magic where they could uncover enchanting forest folklore and listen to spooky stories in Palace House. Explore fascinating new exhibitions around the attraction, including special displays! There really is something for everyone this October half-term!

And the best part? Have Double the fun, and enjoy two days out for the price of one!

Visitors could learn about Beaulieu folklore around the attraction, and discover spooky stories as they followed the Forest Folklore and Phantoms Trail. From our atmospheric Beaulieu Abbey, to autumnal gardens and historic Palace House, the trail led them to each area of the attraction.

They could also visit the bothy in the Victorian Vegetable Garden decorated in autumnal splendour to hear about two notable characters from our own Beaulieu folklore: Mary Dore and Witchy White, both said to be able to shapeshift!

Spooky stories in the National Motor Museum

Inside the National Motor Museum in the ‘Chatty Caravan’, the Learning Team were telling spooky October half-term stories from their popular Sprite 400 touring caravan.

Let off steam!

Let imaginations run wild in Little Beaulieu. Lookout towers, magical bookcases, a tricky rope maze and so much more; there’s a secret around every corner…

Summer holidays at Beaulieu

For an extra special addition to your day, look out for one of TV and film’s most iconic cars, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Visitors will be able to book their own ride (additional charges apply, with tickets bookable upon arrival) and take their seat in this ‘fine-four-fendered-friend’ for a spin about the grounds.

*Please note rides cannot go ahead in wet weather conditions 


National motor museum

In 2025, the National Motor Museum had exciting exhibitions and displays…

Icons of F1 in the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu

It was visitors last chance to see the National Motor Museum’s special display Icons of F1 during October half term 2025! The display celebrated 75 years since the inaugural Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship and brings together iconic racing cars, each representing a decade of technical and sporting development in Formula 1’s illustrious history.

In Focus Gallery

New In Focus Gallery in the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu

Visitors could see the new In Focus display Pitch-up and Carry On: caravans in wartime Britain. During the Second World War, caravans became more than just a leisure escape—they were a lifeline. This exhibition explores the remarkable role of The Caravan Club and its members during the war, highlighting stories of resilience and ingenuity.
