Marc has been a figurative sculptor for over 30 years and has been consistently represented by galleries and agents both in his home country and across Europe.
Deeply inspired by poetry and the natural world, Marc seeks to express the poetic essence of nature through the human form, aiming to evoke an emotional connection between humanity and the forces of the natural world. In other works, he explores themes of alienation, highlighting how disconnected modern man has become from nature, and reflecting on the environmental and psychological consequences of this estrangement.
Working primarily in clay and occasionally in carved stone, Marc creates pieces that range from full figures to portrait busts, both realistic and imagined. These are cast in bronze, concrete, or resin. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades, including the Anthony J Lester Art Critic’s Award. He is an elected member of the Bath Society of Artists and an Associate Member of the Society of Graphic Fine Artists. His work is regularly exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London.
