Antoinette Jackson

Sculptor Profile

Antoinette Jackson has spent the past 15 years working as a figurative sculptor, creating both large and small-scale works for open spaces, gardens, and indoor settings. Drawing inspiration from everyday life, she has progressively developed a distinctive style that brings a lively, expressive quality to her sculptures. Her early work often focused on themes such as children at play and the changing seasons, aiming to evoke memories of joy, wonder, and love, and to highlight the universal nature of human expression and emotion.

In recent years, Antoinette has shifted her artistic direction toward creating unique pieces in a new bronze medium, a bronze coating on mixed medium, which is particularly well-suited for outdoor installation. This new body of work seeks to contemporise the essence of ancient myths and archetypal motifs, offering a fresh interpretation of timeless themes.

A former lecturer in Art and Design at the Plymouth Institute of Education, Antoinette has also written and delivered sculpture workshops at various venues across Devon, and has exhibited widely throughout England. She has undertaken commissions for churches, schools, and private clients, and welcomes new enquiries for both commissions and tutoring.

Antoinette works from her studio at her home in Bath.
