Sculptor Profile
When younger Andrew was completely enthralled by sailing, voyaging many thousands of miles while crewing, teaching, and working on yachts. It eventually became his living when he qualified as a professional yacht skipper (RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate).
Later, in his forties, he began another, more creative, journey – Art Foundation at St Martins followed by a full-time Art Degree. Unsurprisingly, his past sailing experiences and passion for the natural world became the inspiration for his new artistic life.
The wind was featured when designing a show garden entitled “See the Wind” for the RHS Tatton Flower Show which was awarded an RHS Gold Medal and selected as ‘Best in Show’.
He continues to explore this theme with his current work.
