The Palace House team loved seeing your wonderful Easter crafts. Now they’re getting ready to take part in the Great Beaulieu Bake Off – and they need your help!

Easter Crafts

During the Easter holidays visitors were invited to make cards and decorations at the craft table in the Upper drawing room. Mrs Chadwick, the Housekeeper, was amazed with the variety of designs and how much effort had gone into each and every one of them, from personalised cards, colourful chicks and eggs, to a beautiful hand drawn sketch of the face painting team who were working away at the other end of the room.

There were so many wonderful designs Mrs Chadwick couldn’t pick a favourite so we have shared them all below….

The Great Beaulieu Bake Off

This month, Beaulieu staff members will be taking part in ‘The Great Beaulieu Bake Off’ to raise money for Channel 4’s Stand Up to Cancer campaign. On Tuesday 15th May visitors are welcome to join the Kitchen maids who will be baking their entry for the contest!

Using Mrs Hales 1880’s range oven and using only traditional Victorian methods we will be baking up a storm in the kitchen and the maids would welcome any help from visitors that day to decorate and of course taste test!

Look out for the finished cake on this month’s blog update.
