Join the National Motor Museum Trust team for a specialist Transport Torques evening lecture on Monday 18 May with former Formula 1 driver Derek Daly.
A master storyteller, Derek will share the extraordinary journey that took him from a modest upbringing in Dublin to the meteoric rise of Formula 1, including a seat with the iconic Williams team. Along the way, he’ll reflect on the triumphs and challenges of competing at the very top from spectacular highs to the terrifying crashes that tested his resilience.
The event ties in with the launch of his new memoir, Derek Daly: Serial Survivor, this is a rare opportunity to hear Derek in person during his UK visit. After leaving Formula 1, Derek forged a new path in America racing Indycars and sports cars, before becoming a much-loved broadcaster and pundit. In this special Q&A, he’ll bring his remarkable story to life with honesty, humour and insight.
Derek will also be signing copies of his new book Derek Daly: Serial Survivor, available to purchase on the night.
Tickets will be available soon from the National Motor Museum website.
