Part-time Documentation Assistant - Maternity Cover

National Motor Museum Trust
22.5 hours per week

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person to assist in the documentation of our museum collections in accordance with current policies and procedures, and in line with MLA Accreditation and audit requirements. You will have an eye for accuracy and detail, good organisational and co-ordinating skills, good Microsoft Office knowledge and a general interest in motoring.

Shell Art Collection Assistant

Part time 22.5 hours per week

The Shell Art Collection is housed at the National Motor Museum’s Collections Centre in Beaulieu and is one of the most important collections of commercial art in Britain. It holds over 8,000 posters and paintings, as well as press advertisements, early postcards, books and a unique collection of Valentine cards, illustrating Shell’s advertising from the 1900s to the 1980s.

This is an exciting opportunity for a museum professional to support the Shell Art Collection Manager with a wide range of curatorial duties and to help deliver the exhibitions programme.

The ideal person will be educated to degree level in a relevant field, with a minimum of 1-2 years gallery or museum experience.

Seasonal River Taxi Operator - Beaulieu River

We require a River Taxi Operator to operate the Beaulieu River Taxi. The successful candidate will be required to work a 5 day week to include all weekends and Bank Holidays, hours as required, normally 10 am to 7 pm, but a degree of flexibility will be required. Please note that due to the seasonal nature of the position, no holidays may be taken May to September.

You will be required to hold the following qualifications: First Aid, VHF licence, an ML5 Certificate or statement of fitness from your GP. You will need experience in boat handling, dealing with the public and cash handling. The successful candidate would need to obtain a Boatman licence from the New Forest District Council.
