We require an Assistant Gardener to help with the upkeep of a large formal private garden. Duties will range across the entire spectrum: planting perennials, trees and shrubs, pruning, dividing, weeding, feeding, mowing, edging, hedge-cutting, propagation. Some understanding of horticulture is an asset, but training will be given and more important is a willingness to learn and take instruction. Would suit a horticultural college-leaver or someone with gardening ability who is keen to improve and gain both practical and theoretical knowledge working closely with a highly experienced gardener.
The successful candidate will be able to work in all weathers. You will have the ability to use a wide range of garden equipment and power tools including mowing, trimming and pruning equipment and have manual skills to lift and move heavy items.
Full-time and part-time hours will be considered, working Monday to Friday.

Due to the location and limited public transport, applicants for this position will require their own transport.
