Howls – of laughter – and screams – of delight – will echo from deep within the New Forest as Beaulieu celebrates its ghostly heritage this October Half Term, 22nd Oct – 30th Oct 2016. It will be quite a spectre-cle!
Join us for some spooky shenanigans this October half-term as Beaulieu celebrates its ghostly and ghoulish heritage.
Beaulieu is regarded as one of the most haunted sites in Britain. The ruins of Beaulieu Abbey are said to stir at night to the sound of ghostly monastic chants, while the darkened corridors of Palace House are patrolled by the spectral Grey Lady.
From foul-play in Palace House to the ghostly whispers of long-dead monks, these true tales are sure to make your spine tingle with spooky story-telling sessions throughout half-term, from October 22th - 30th 2016.
Visit the Victorian kitchen in Palace House, which has been home to the Montagu family since 1538, as the cook boils up hubble, bubble, toil and trouble with potions and lotions.
Ride the Moan-a-Rail to hear the chilling commentary about paranormal activity in the Beaulieu grounds.
Follow the Halloween quiz trail with cunningly conceived clues around the attraction, then get your face painted for free . . . will you be a pumpkin, a witch or a skeleton?
All of the activities are included in your general admission entrance. For Beaulieu ticket prices or more information please call 01590 612345 or see our event page.
Beaulieu is open daily from 10am-5pm.
A great-value Beaulieu ticket includes entry to all of the Beaulieu attractions including the National Motor Museum, the World of Top Gear, Palace House, the 13th century Beaulieu Abbey and grounds.
The Fireworks Spectacular on Saturday 29th October celebrates Music from the Movies. Old time fairground rides start from 3pm on that day, with fireworks beginning at 7.30pm. Visitors with attraction tickets who arrive earlier in the day are welcome to stay and enjoy the fireworks. Or buy separate Fireworks Spectacular event tickets and arrive from 3pm to round off your half-term holiday.
