Ocean Brothers’ Jude Massey to open Beaulieu Boatjumble

Beaulieu is proud to announce that Jude Massey from the Ocean Brothers will open its Boatjumble on Sunday April 22nd after completing his record-breaking row across the Atlantic.

Nineteen-year-old Jude became the youngest person in the world to row any ocean in a two-person team when he and his brother Greg Bailey rowed 3,000 miles unassisted, in memory of their late father Peter Massey and to raise funds for the British Skin Foundation for skin cancer research.

After their triumphant return home to the New Forest, the brothers have been sharing their story of enduring the massive challenge of 53 days crossing the second largest ocean, enduring bad weather, equipment failure and injuries. For more details click here.

Now sailing instructor Jude will meet boatjumblers when he opens the Beaulieu event at 10am in the grounds of the National Motor Museum.

There are many other reasons why the 41st Boatjumble will be an unmissable calendar highlight for sailors. Children under 12 will be given free admission to the show, which is the largest outdoor sale of maritime items in Europe with stands packed with boating bargains, from yacht and motorboat spares to clothing, equipment, instruments and charts.
