There is still time to enjoy a great day out at one of the South’s favourite attractions.
Become a part of the world’s greatest car show with our newest attraction. World of Top Gear. Enter the Top Gear Enormodrome to see actual cars from some of Jeremy, Richard and James’ most ambitious challenges, hear the stories behind them and enjoy clips of some of the best Top Gear moments.
In the National Motor Museum, there are over 250 vehicles on show from F1 racers and Land Speed Record Breakers to modern classics. Don’t miss the new ‘ProMotion’ exhibition, featuring a number of fun promotional vehicles including the Cadbury Crème Egg car, and the James Bond Experience, with genuine cars from the films.
Join the Victorian house party in Palace House and meet the house guests and ‘below stairs’ staff. There is music in the Lower Drawing Room, family games outside on the lawns and twice daily playlets to enjoy. See Veteran and Vintage cars as they motor around the grounds, stop the driver and learn about motoring in days gone by. Take care you don’t get run over by the Victorian cyclist on his Penny Farthing.
Watch the Victorian gardener as he tends the Kitchen Garden and join him for a tour of the gardens. Meet Brother William, the Cistercian monk who strolls the pathways of Beaulieu’s Abbey Cloisters, listen to his talks on the folk law of herbs and the monks who lived in the Abbey. From Monday to Friday in the Cloister, hear about the history of falconry and see some of these amazing birds in special flying demonstrations.
Take a ride on the high-level Monorail to get a birds-eye view of the cars as you go through the roof of the museum and journey through 100 years of motoring history on the ‘Wheels’ pod ride. Alternatively, see the sights from the open-topped replica 1912 London Bus. Visit the Secret Army Exhibition which tells the story of the training of secret agents at the Beaulieu ‘Finishing School’ during WWII.
If you want to get in the driving seat, put your foot down and take the chequered flag on the Go-Karts.* Budding young drivers can take to the road on Dipstick’s Driving Circuit** in mini motorised vehicles while younger visitors can get physical on the Mini Motor Play Trail with its Veteran Bus climbing frame, swings and Little Tykes ride-on-cars.
Beaulieu is open daily from 10am to 6pm. All activities and attractions are included in the Beaulieu Attraction Admission Ticket available to purchase on the day or click here to buy on-line.
* A good value extra charge applies to this ride. ** Height restrictions apply.
