Beaulieu Hosts Children In Need 2011
Friday 18th November
The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu will be hosting BBC South’s live broadcasts during the 32nd BBC Children in Need appeal on Friday 18th November. The museum last hosted the event in 2009 when a 1,000 strong audience joined charity mascot, Pudsey, and South Today presenters Roger Johnson and Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes for a fun-packed night.
The BBC South presenters for Children in Need 2011 will be the four ‘Weather Girls’; Sarah Farmer, Alexis Green, Reham Khan and Laura Trant. During the evening they will be taking part in a Pit Stop Tyre Change Challenge against members of the South Today Sports team. Members of the public will also have an opportunity to take part in the Challenge, for a donation to the charity.
The National Motor Museum is again offering free entry to audience members and fundraisers wishing to present their cheques in person, with an opportunity to look around the exhibits in the museum during the evening. Bands, choirs and dance groups from around the region, will be performing live on stage both for the cameras and to also to entertain the audience in between broadcasts.
Entry will be from 5.45pm through the Beaulieu Visitor Admissions Hall, with parking in the visitor car parks. The Brabazon Cafeteria will be open throughout the evening for refreshments. For further information tel: 01590 612345.
