The 48th annual National Austin Seven Rally was held here on 4th July. Organiser, Ian Nelson, of the 750 Motor Club for Austin Seven enthusiasts wonders if any other motor club has organised a one-make, one-model car rally at the same venue for so many consecutive years. Coincidentally, it was another 48th meet - the 48th Annual Graham Walker Memorial Run took place on 8th August. The event was organised by the Sunbeam Motor Cycle Club , the enthusiast’s club for all makes of Pioneer, Vintage & Post Vintage motorcycles, plus Sporting Trials.

The oldest Mercedes-Benz Club in the world held its National and Family Day here on 22nd August, which offered a wide range of activities, including lots for children. Read news of the event here.
Surrey Sculpture Society’s first Exhibition held in our parkland grounds and Palace House from 25th June to 22nd August was a great success with members’ head-turning sculptures engaging visitors and attracting 20 sales of pieces ranging in price from £95 to £7,000.
Thousands of our young visitors joined serving soldiers to take part in the Army Commando activities during 23rd-27th August, with many completing the Army Crane Challenge and receiving a certificate from 17 Port & Maritime Regiment.
Outdoor film screening – On 27th August film-lovers gathered in our grounds to enjoy a summer’s evening watching the family favourite ‘Grease’. Staged by Heart, this Ford Galaxy Summer Cinema event, also helped to raise funds for Naomi House Children’s Hospice and Marie Curie Cancer Care. One lucky movie goer took home an Apple iPad in the raffle, and ten luxury hampers were also up for grabs in the ticket competition.
Supercar & Superbike Start-up – 30th August 2010 – on a glorious Summer Bank Holiday, more than 2,700 visitors to Beaulieu were treated to the sights and sounds of some of the world’s top cars and bikes. Highlights at this year’s annual parade, which involved in excess of 35 high performance vehicles from the National Motor Museum’s prestigious collection, included the surprise arrival on the day of an Aston Martin and Porsche brought in by fans of the Supercar event, one very lucky younger visitor, Seb, also got to ride in the McLaren F1 GTR, and the finale showcased the highly popular V16 BRM, which ran successfully on both start-ups.
