New Additions to Ducati Exhibition

New additions to the popular exhibition featuring an exceptional collection of World and British Championship Superbike Ducatis, currently on display in the National Motor Museum’s Motorcycle Gallery, now make it the largest collection of Ducatis outside the Ducati Museum in Bologna, Italy.

The new line-up includes a 2004 Ducati 999RS. One of eight made, it was originally purchased by the Renegade Ducati Koji team for their riders Noriyuki Haga and Leon Haslam in the 2004 World Superbike and British Superbike season. The bike on display was ridden to eighth place in the WSB Championship by 21-year old Haslam.

Beside it is the No 3 Ducati factory 996RS ridden by John Reynolds for the Rêve Red Bull Team in 2001.  Reynolds No 1 Ducati 996RS, on which he became British Superbike Champion, is also on display.

Taking centre stage is the 2006/7 Airwaves Ducati ridden by Gregorio Lavilla.  Lavilla joined the Airwaves Ducati team in 2005, winning that year’s British Superbike Championship.  He established a run of six wins and five second places in the final eleven races to take the crown.   In 2006, he scored six wins in the first eight races on this bike, but his luck ran out and he finished 4th overall.
